As the president of SEL, he directs the engineering analysis of fires and explosions, the conduct of process safety engineering and computer modeling and also provides expert testimony for SEL clients.

John M. Hoffmann, PhD., P.E. For over 25 years, Dr. Hoffmann has investigated and analyzed fires and explosions and has provided expert testimony throughout the United States, U.S. Territories and Canada. These investigations have ranged from accidents involving household products to hotel fires and industrial plant explosions. He also has participated in a wide variety of occupational safety and health program analyses.
